Digitalis grandiflora 'Carillon' (15) Quarts
Common Name: Dwarf Yellow Foxglove.
Zone 2 to 9.
Sun to part shade.
Mature foliage height 12 to 15 inches and width 12 to 18 inches, clump forming herbaceous perennial.
A compact selection of a truly perennial Foxglove species has dark green leaves, upright stalks of creamy-yellow bells all summer. Remove faded flowers to encourage more buds. Does not need staking.
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil, Digitalis prefers moist, organically rich, acidic soils. Soil must not be allowed to dry out; however, dense crowns may rot in soggy, poorly-drained winter soils.
Good for border, containers, cut flowers, edging; attractive to hummingbirds, use foxgloves in woodland gardens or naturalized areas. Deer and rabbit resistant. |
