Description

Aegopodium podagraria 'Variegatum' (30)ct Ellepots
Common Name: Snow-on-the-Mountain, Bishop's Weed, Goutweed
Zones 4 to 8, maybe 3 to 9.
Full sun to full shade.
Plants reach 6 to 10 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide;
Herbaceous perennial mounding groundcover.
Spreads by underground rhizomes and can be aggressive.

An attractive groundcover for the shade, 'Variegatum' is a light green and white variegated version of Bishop's Weed; 'Variegatum' is less aggressive. 14-inch tall umbels of tiny, creamy-white flowers in early summer.
Tolerant of a wide range of soils, Goutweed is easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Foliage will often scorch in hot, dry, full sun conditions. Flower heads may be removed to prevent self-seeding and to maintain appearance of the ground cover. Plants may be sheared by mowing on a high setting to stimulate new foliage growth.
Excellent in containers or as groundcover as it rapidly fills in under a tree, on a slope, or any place that nothing else will grow.

Guidelines for Handling and Transplanting Elle Plugs
1) We strive to send every Elle plug with sufficient moisture to last through shipping. Upon delivery of your order, inspect all Elle plugs for soil moisture.
2) Water any plugs that appear to be dry immediately. If the Elle paper is dry, then the plug is drying out. All plugs arrive with the addition of a wetting agent to facilitate prompt, even water absorption.
3) If the Elle plugs are to be held for a period of time before transplanting, check the plugs regularly to ensure they are evenly moist. Do not let plugs dry out.
4) Just before transplanting, re-check moisture level of all plugs scheduled to be transplanted. Ensure that plugs are thoroughly moist.
