4 to 8 inches tall, broad, strap-like, 2 inch wide leaves and sky-blue spring flowers. Rhizomes are connected by slender runners.
Prefers moist, well-drained soil.
One of our smallest native irises.
Native of eastern North America, once established, they are carefree, cheery groundcovers for the woodland garden, rocky wooded slopes, bluffs and stream banks.
Easy to grow in well-drained soil and partial shade.
Double fan shipped bare root.
